LG and Google announced the LG NEXUS 4 smartphone. The 4.7-inch Android 4.2 Jelly Bean smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor

A new Google phone will be available in stores for the Christmas shopping. It is one year since Google and Samsung announced the Galaxy Nexus Android smartphone. It is time for an upgrade, so Google joined forces with LG this time, and they have now unveiled the new handset. LG Nexus 4 is the name of the new device, and although the number 4 in the name is identical to the Nexus generation number, we believe it is a number describing the approximate size of the display.

Nexus 4 has a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm which is currently one of the fastest chipsets available. The 4.7-inch display is of the True HD IPS type with Zerogap Touch technology which LG introduced with the Optimus G last month. Except for the wireless charging solution in the LG Nexus 4, the new Google mobile has similar features as those found in the two month old Optimus G.

Two of the things Google has emphasized about the Nexus 4 smartphone is an updated Google Now service and the Photo Sphere camera. Photo Sphere is an advanced camera panorama function which enables the user to stitch
together multiple images taken in all directions.
We first saw this demonstrated
by Scalado at Mobile World Congress back in February.

With the Nexus 4,
Google releases Android version 4.2 Jelly Bean. The updated operating system adds a couple of very interesting features. The built-in keyboard will now detect swipe movements. Just like some third-party keyboards does. Google call this Gesture Typing. sadly, the new tablet only feature with multiple user accounts is not available on Nexus 4.





LG Nexus 4 is a GSM/HSPA+ world phone and it will be sold unlocked without having its software changed by operators.

Unless the specifications following the press release is completely wrong. We must say that the Nexus 4 has an impressive battery capacity. The 2100 mAh battery is capable of letting you talk for 15.3 hours. Standby time is modest 390 hours.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus I9250 and the Samsung Google Nexus S.

Sony has unveiled its upgrade plans for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to Xperia handsets..!!

While Android 4.1 Jelly Bean can be downloaded to some Sony Xperia handsets, some 2012 models will not receive the Jelly Bean update. The announced but not yet released smartphones Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V will receive the Jelly Bean update in Q1 2013. That is approximately four months from now.



The following Xperia smartphones will receive the update a little later.

Sony Mobile did not say why these later models not will receive the update, only that "after thorough evaluation, we have concluded they will not be upgraded beyond Ice Cream Sandwich". You might notice that the first list consist of the most expensive and powerful handsets while those not receiving the update are entry-level to mid-range phones. Apart from the fact that Xperia P and Xperia U has the same 1 GHz dual-core ST-Ericsson U8500 processor but the Xperia U has only 512 MB RAM compared to the 1 GB in Xperia P. Xperia J has a 1 GHz single-core MSM7227A processor from Qualcomm but only 512 MB RAM and it will still receive the update.

Sony Announced the new flagship model Xperia T. A 4.6 inch Android smartphone powered by a dual core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Krait processor

The Sony Xperia T is the new flagship model from the Japanese company. Xperia T has a powerful S4 dual core Krait processor from Qualcomm clocked at 1.5 GH, and a 4.55 inch Reality Display with Mobile Bravia Engine. The Xperia T design is nothing new. It has an inverted form factor compared to the Sony Human Curvature design philosophy. You either like it, or not. One thing is for sure. It is getting harder and harder to see the difference between Sony handsets these days.

Xperia T will be available in two versions. The Xperia T LT30p has support for HSPA+ with theoretical download speeds up to 42.4 Mpbs. The Xperia T LT30at offers even faster network speed with the support for LTE cat 3 and a maximum download speed of 102 Mbps.

The screen resolution is HD 720 x 1280. Both the MSM8960 (LT30p) and MSM8320 (LT30at) chipset has the new Adreno 225 GPU on board. The Adreno 225 delivers 50% more graphics processing power over the previous generation Adreno GPU such as the Adreno 220 powering the Xperia S.

Sony Xperia T is the first smartphone from Sony, or Sony Ericsson for that matter, that has WiFi IEEE 802.11a over the 5 GHz band. The 802.11b/g/n are sharing the 2.4 GHz frequency with microwave ovens, Bluetooth and most other Wi-Fi equipment, so despite having a shorter reach with the 5GHz frequency, the option to use the less crowded band could be welcomed by some users.

The Xperia T LT30p will also have support for screen mirroring through WiFi Miracast.

Sony has increased the megapixel count again, and the Xperia T has a 13 megapixels camera on board. Video clips can be captured at 1080p using the main camera or you can shoot with a 720p resolution using the front facing camera.

Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100

The Galaxy Note II, with its 5.5-inch HD SuperAMOLED display, is slightly bigger than the original Galaxy Note, which had a 5.3-inch touchscreen. This device runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), the latest version of Google's mobile operating system, layered with the company's TouchWiz UI. The phablet has a quad-core 1.6GHz Cortex A-9 processor with 2GB of RAM and will come in 16, 32 and 64GB variants, with support for microSD card having capacity of up to 64GB.

For camera enthusiasts, Samsung has assimilated an 8MP snapper with LED flash on the rear, whereas the secondary camera has resolution of 1.9MP. The rear camera can capture full HD videos at 1080p@30fps and comes with features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilisation.

Connectivity options of the Samsung Galaxy Note II include 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, NFC, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.0. The company has also provided proprietary connectivity features in the device, such as Samsung AllShare Play & Control and Samsung AllShare Cast. The phablet it powered by a 3,100mAh battery and will come in two colours - titanium grey and marble white.

Samsung's pricing strategy for the Galaxy Note II remains to be seen, as it does not reveal cost of the product while taking pre-orders. Around the time that the iPhone 5 was launched worldwide, the company slashed the prices of the top-end products it sells in India, namely Galaxy S III, S II and Note.

Galaxy Note II will be shipped on first-come-first-serve basis for those booked it in advance, depending on the timing for completing the full payment. The South Korean manufacturer will ship a free desktop dock with the Galaxy Note II for free to those who pre-order the device early. Only those who make full payment within the first three days of the launch of the phablet will be given the free desktop dock.

Those users who pre-order the device have to make full payment for the Galaxy Note II within 15 days of launch, otherwise the booking will be cancelled and the sum of Rs 5,000 will not be refunded. Samsung will send an email to all those who made pre-orders stating the official launch of the device.
